So, another week done (this time in English because of my Canadian relatives, btw sorry for my grammar faults. Last Sunday we went to Bondi Beach. Just relaxing on the Beach and I even went snorkeling for a while. The sight is beautiful and I already saw lots of beautiful, strange and new (for me) fishes, so imagine what it’s going to be when I’ll go diving in the Great Barrier Reef
Monday we would go working, only at 12 a.m. we received a call that there wasn’t any work for us that day. So we had some time to spend. We just went in to Sydney and checking out some vans. We did made an offer on a van, only there was some one else making a higher offer. After walking around Sydney we went back to the hostel and start cooking.
Tuesday we had our RSA Course (Responsible Serve of Alcohol) We had to start at 08.30 so we had to get up early (no, we aren’t lazy we just sleep from 02.00 till 10.00 or something like that). The Course was quite interesting. We learned a lot of the rules for alcohol here, what you should and shouldn’t do related to alcohol and how you can handle guests if they are drunk and how you can prevent them for getting way to drunk. So at the end of the day we walked out of the building, a certificate richer.
Wednesday we could go back to work again. So we’ve catches the train and at 15.00 we were standing behind the line. We actually have claimed our spot in the factory. Probably one of the best places were you can be. At the end of the line, packing in the dvd’s and folding boxes and pile them up. You can walk around and talk some there, so that’s good. Our chiefs know that we are good in what we do, so that is our place every day. We’ve also worked on Thursday and Friday, and then: Weekend!!
Today (Saturday) we had to get up very early, 07.00!!! At half past 7 we said goodbye to our lovely hostel and went with all our packing to the next hostel. Then back to G’day Backpackers because a bus was picking us up at 7.55 for our Tour through the Blue Mountains. We were with 20 people and a relax guide. First we went to a river at the beginning of the Blue Mountains for our ‘Morning Tea’ with cookies. After that we went to our first Kodak moment (see pictures). We had a very nice view from there over a large area of the Blue Mountains. Then we went on to the next parking lot. There was a little walk (the board said 15 minute walk, but it was really only 5 minutes) to Princes’ rock, from where you had a nice view at a waterfall. Our guide said to us that we could go and walk while he was still gathering the group. We had to follow the path down and what ever we did NOT go to the right (cause that was a path for a 5 hour walk). So we walked down and turned right. It was a nice path with good views. After walking for a while we just turned around and got back to the group. Then it was feeding time, so we went lunching in a small village in the Blue Mountains. After lunch we went with different cable cars over the valley and we even went in the steepest railway of the world.
And then the moment was there. We went to a national park where I saw my first Skippy’s!!! We arrived exactly on time, there were just 2 kangaroos fighting so I’ve got a good movie of that to (see it on my hyves!!!) When we spend enough time over there we went back in the bus and headed for the Olympic park and Olympic stadium. And then with the ‘Rivercat’ (a fast catamaran) back to Sydney harbor. I really had a fantastic day! Did things that I want to do here in Australia. And this is only just the beginning.
Sunday probably just relaxing, maybe to the Botanic Gardens (the places we couldn’t enter last time) and then Monday working again. So maybe next week another blog from me
